The Apple we know today might be known for its minimalistic aesthetic now, but there was a time when that wasn’t true. The hip brand has come a long way from its 1986 fashion and lifestyle massacre known as The Apple Collection.
The 1980’s Apple Collection
It’s hard to imagine that black turtleneck aficionado Steve Jobs would have approved of these clothes. The catalogue was released a year after he left the company. Filled with oversized sweatshirts, windbreakers, and obnoxiously bright patterns. Just about any piece could be worn in a sort of self-deprecating irony. If these pieces were available today, they would make the ideal gift for any hipster!
So brace yourself and pop your collar; we’re about to take a trip to the 80s.
